Christmas Blessings to you all!
It’s been a tough year! We ache for this earth that “reels like a drunkard, it sways like a hut in the wind.”  (Isa.24:20)
This nightmare year reminds us again of the time in our own lives when life was very dark. We also remember how the support of our friends, family and the city of Winnipeg helped us through it all.
This lingering memory of the outpouring of love and prayers continues to inspire us – even now. We are forever grateful - and I think we are still benefitting.
Cliff has been able to continue to teach ceramics this year.  He now teaches in his own Clayman Cliff’s Art studio which has expanded to include curb side service for his eager students. He truly has enjoyed all of his students that come from all walks of life. He has also been teaching art at the St. Aiden’s Christian School – a term which only ended recently with code red
Somehow, he still finds time for his own artistic expression which right now is all about angels. He is exploring them theologically, personally and artistically. This fall, he was able to sculpture three angels that were to be shown in an art show “Draw Near.” Unfortunately, the show was canceled due to Code Red.
He is now a star of two documentaries, Suspended: the art of forgiveness, came out a few years ago. The documentary After Candace: the art of healing just came out this past month, produced and filmed by Algonquin College (Ottawa)
Wilma is continuing to work on her new passion, “Life Writing” and has enjoyed teaching this course at the Bronx Community Centre. Because of COVID she is now contemplating offering it online.
After four years, she finally completed her book, Dispelling the Clouds: a desperate social experiment, (available on Amazon) and launched it in our back yard on a beautiful September day. The launch also featured another pop-up art show of Cliff’s “David” sculptures.
Wilma is now into another writing project, something about “trees and reptiles.” Not sure what that is about ….
She still works half time as a therapist at the Oakville Wellness Centre, which was classified as an essential service this year.
Often, she joins Cliff in his studio to explore her own artistic creativity – commonly known as art therapy.
  Our children are doing well.
Odia is Corporate Marketing Manager for Friesen Corporation in Altona. Larry has just accepted a chaplain position at Boundary Trails Health Centre while continuing as pastor of Cornerstone Vineyard Church in Winkler, Manitoba.
Natasha is a full time homeschool teacher.  Syras, continues as a psychologist running his own private practice, Oakville Wellness Center, and also continues as pastor of Maplecrest Church, Park Theartre, Winnipeg.
Our three grandchildren are priceless – beautiful – and the best in the entire world!
We have much to be thankful for.
He made the storm be still, and the waves of the sea were hushed. Psalms 107:29

Have a wonderful Christmas and a blessed New Year!”

“A friend is one to whom one may pour out the contents of one's heart, chaff and grain together, knowing that gentle hands will take and sift it, keep what is worth keeping, and with a breath of kindness, blow the rest away.” ― Dinah Maria Craik
